My eyes refocused onto where she was looking – the little mini-Connie sleeping soundly on the bed. Annie, right.
My hand took hers. “What now?”
Just sitting there, with my cock as hard as a brick and my body primed for it, was not an option. Not anymore.
Connie was already rising, a glint in her eye I liked. “Wait here. I’ll be back in a sec.”
Her ‘sec’ was several excruciatingly long minutes.
When she finally got back, she had her friend Val in tow.
“Babysitter’s arrived,” Val chirped.
My questioning gaze went to Connie. She just nodded.
Val burst out laughing. “Would you just look at the two of you. Yeah, I know. And yeah, it’s all good. You troublemakers go have your fun.”
Connie was beet red. She could hardly look at me. “I have an idea. Trust me.”
I shrugged. “Alright.”
Val blew us a final kiss as we went through the door.
I wasn’t feeling so cheery, myself.
“Isn’t it risky, having her know?”
Connie stopped walking. “No.”
“That’s the only person you’ve told, though?”
“What’s the problem – having second thoughts?”
“No, I-”
Now she was standing close, her chest pressed up against mine. “We can walk right back in there, right now.”
“I just wanted to know what I’m getting into.”
Connie’s face was still a shade of red, her blue eyes flashing brighter with a dare. “I mean it. We don’t have to do this.”
My hand closed around her wrist. “Stop it.” I leaned down to growl in her ear, “And take me somewhere I can do what I want to you. Unless you’d rather I do it here.”
I squeezed her ass. Connie ripped herself away. We were both breathing hard.
Lucky that no one had decided to come walking down the hallway that very minute.
Fuck.
Being around Connie messed with my common sense hard.
Right then, what I wanted to do more than anything was shove her to the wall and fuck her until she was groaning my name.
“Follow me.” Connie’s back was to me, her nice ass swaying from side to side as she walked away. “I have an idea.”
If it involved anything like what we’d done the last time we were alone for an extended period, I was game.

Connie
Even on the stairs to the basement, I could hear the sounds.
Chuckling. Pool balls smacking together. Shuffling and repositioning.
I stopped, turned to Chance and started talking before I got distracted by the way he was looking at me. “Plan is you go down first, bullshit with them a minute or so. Then I’ll come down – go to the panic room like I need some time alone to calm down, whatever. You wait a few minutes, tell them you’re going in to check on me.”
Chance didn’t look like a lightbulb had gone off in his head. “I don’t know about this.”
I squeezed his hand, then gave him a little push. “Trust me – now go.”
Chance paused, with a frown like he was thinking better of it. Then he went down the steps.
At the bottom one, he looked back.
My breath came out fast. That look.
That look said one thing and one thing only: You’re mine.
I went back upstairs to waste a few minutes. If anyone did happen to go down the stairs, it would look suspicious as hell for me to just be hanging around on them.
Upstairs, I grabbed a few handfuls of Lays, chatted to Coco for a minute or so. Then I let the fear that had been squirreling in my chest the past few days rear up full force, make its way onto my face.
Action time.
“You okay?” There was genuine sympathy in Coco’s pale features. I almost felt bad about deceiving her like this.
“Yeah… not really, I, think I just need to be alone right now.”
I glanced to the staircase, and Coco nodded in sympathy. “You do you, girl.”
So I did. I walked down the steps, threaded the way past the pool-immersed guys.
“Cheater!” Jared was roaring at someone, making stabbing motions with his cue.
I managed to do it without so much as glancing Chance’s way, then grabbed the cool panic room doorknob and… I was in.
Thank God.
Now that I thought about it, getting a few minutes alone in here was nice, even if my whole body was buzzing with what was to come.
Only he took longer than expected.
What if he’d gotten fed up with all the game-playing? Decided he didn’t want to risk it?
From outside, there was absolutely no noises. That was the whole point of this sealed-off place, but still. It sucked right now. Chance could’ve stormed off already, even minutes ago, and I’d never know.
Finally, the door opened, and he walked right in, locked the door behind him, then strode right up to me. “And?”
I swallowed, moistened my lips. “And this place is completely soundproof.”
Next second, his lips were on mine.
There was a wildness to it, how our bodies connected, like something had been let out. Something that couldn’t be slowed let alone stopped.
He handled me roughly yet tenderly, quickly yet savoring. When his hands pushed under my bra and grabbed both my breasts at once, I practically sank into him. Pleasure exploded through my system.
Then he ripped off my bra, his hands going down, pulling off my jeans.
I tugged off his shirt, showcasing a six-pack that was clenched with pent-up arousal.
I couldn’t get enough of his body or the way he was looking at me. Sack-jawed, like he was the luckiest man in the world right then.
My hands went to his belt, but he was faster. He pulled it off and then our lips met again, and he pressed into me.
We slid onto the cool cement floor, but I didn’t care. Not about that, not about anything. Because he was inside me.
Fuck, yes.
I grabbed on for dear life and let out a groan that didn’t even sound like it came from my own mouth.
Chance quirked his hips. He had barely moved his cock, and yet I was shaking. “Please fuck me, Chance.”
“You got it babe,” Chance growled.
And then he thrust into me again.
Our bodies rolled around, the cool cement somehow arcing my pleasure higher. Chance’s body was like a furnace against mine, every one of his limbs, roped in muscle that clenched and rolled with exertion.
I came hard, clutching him and clapping a hand over my mouth before I remembered the panic room was soundproof.
Chance remembered too and pulled my hand off my mouth to hear the last of my wild cry.
He took my chin in his hand and flicked my lips with his thumb. “That’s it.”
And then he flipped me around to fuck me from behind. My pussy was still spasming from my orgasm, but his insistent thrusts just ramped my pleasure up again quickly. As our bodies slapped together, it was all I could do to stop my pelvis from collapsing.
It felt so fucking good.
“Fuck, you’re amazing,” Chance said. “Like none I’ve ever….”
He didn’t finish that thought. His hands went around to grab my breasts again, hard.
That was it – I couldn’t take anymore, my body screamed with another orgasm.
Only Chance wasn’t finished with me yet. He flipped me over again and drilled into me, his punishing thrusts quickly bringing me to the brink again.
And then, we came together as roll after roll of pleasure took us under.
Sometime after, as our breaths slowed and evened out, I could feel his heartbeat on my back.
I think I’m falling for him.
I stiffened.
Where the fuck had that thought come from?
“You good?” Chance asked.
I squirmed to disentangle myself. “Yeah, I’m going to shower.”
As my bare feet met the cement, I shivered. It was colder than I remembered now that I was out of Chance’s embrace.
I paused. “Just so I don’t smell like sex.”
“Right.”
I couldn’t place Chance’s look.
Although I knew what that fluttery feeling in my belly meant.
“Want to come?”
Chance cocked his head at me. “Yeah, alright.”
Although he didn’t get up. I stopped again. “What is it?”
He was smiling like a kid in a candy store. “Nothing. Just – the view’s nice from here.”
I blushed furiously and headed for the small shower inside the panic room. “Well, it’s the last you’ll see of it if you don’t hurry!”
Inside the bathroom, the shower’s white tiles were as spotless as I remembered. Hayes really did keep this place in top condition. Lucky me.
Chance was close behind me, with a new look on his face. How did I forget how ridiculously fit he was every time I saw him naked?
“What is it?” I asked.
“This place.” Chance’s smile was rueful. “Before, I didn’t even notice how impressively decked-out it is. The room’s huge – bunk beds galore, even a small living room with a TV, three bathrooms…”
“Then I did a good job distracting you, didn’t’ I?”
His gaze dropped to my body and stayed dropped. “You could say that, yeah.”
Next thing I knew his mouth was on my nipple. I reached behind me, turned on the hot faucet. Warmth spilled onto my shoulders to and washed over my satisfied, yet still buzzing body.
Chance had already moved his mouth over to my other breast, while his hands ventured further. Down and over my curves, stroking and kneading and squeezing, until they were right where I needed them.
His fingers slid into me so easily and perfectly, I twitched.
“Yeah?” Chance pumped me harder.
“Yeah.”
He lightly bit down on my nipple and I moaned.
His kisses moved down my chest, over my torso. Down further, until he was on his knees in front of me, spreading my folds.
He continued to pump his thick fingers into me as his tongue danced over my clit and stole the breath from my lungs. I braced my hands on his shoulders to keep from collapsing when the pleasure threatened to buckle my knees.
I grabbed fistfuls of Chances wet locks as he flipped one of my legs over his shoulder to get a better angle.
I cried out and shook as the pressure built up in me again, calling out his name as my pussy clenched around his fingers and my juices spilled out onto his hand. He continued to pump and lick as my orgasm subsided and then caught me in his arms when my legs couldn’t hold me anymore.
Kissing me tenderly, Chance helped me to stand again and I felt the nudge of his swollen cock against my belly. At once, I was on my knees in front of him, eager to return the favor.
My lips slipped onto his cock and all the way down. The thick head bumped up against the back of my throat. I held him there and he twitched, groaned.
Clasping the base in my hand, I stroked him into my mouth. I lapped all around him, up and down alternating speeds. I took my other hand and cupped his balls, giving them a gentle tug.
Now he was harder than before. I rubbed his tip across my mouth. He looked down on me with a look so enrapt that it sent a warm flutter between my legs too.
I licked the precum from the tip, then I popped it back into my mouth.
Fuck, did he taste good.
I continued to suck and lap and tease until I felt his hands fist in my hair. I thought he might pull me off of him, but instead, he cradled my head closer and began to thrust into my mouth. I took as much of him as I could, my eyes watering as the tip bumped the back of my throat.
“Good God Connie, you’re so good at that,” he moaned. And then his cock spasmed and let loose down my throat.
I knelt there for a few moments while his breathing slowed, and he stroked my head with that same surprising gentleness.
Chance righted me and wrapped his arms around me.
I don’t know how long we stood there, his arms around me, breathing together but the water started to run cold. “We’d better get back. The others might come looking.”
“Your friend probably wants to get to bed too,” Chance said.
But we still didn’t move.
And, even though I’d been the one to say it, I couldn’t begin to think about the actual mechanics of going back there, putting on clothes, an innocent smile, some inane lie: “I freaked, but Chance calmed me down.”
I guess it wasn’t a complete lie. After all those orgasms, I felt like I’d popped a few Valiums or something even stronger.
Chance squeezed my shoulders, kissed into the back of my neck, “Hey. You good?”
“Just lazy.”
“Here, I’ll help.”
He actually dressed me. So gently and slowly, I couldn’t help but laugh.
Only when we both had clothes on did we walk to the door. Chance took my hand. “To be continued.”
Despite the stabs of uncertainty from what was beyond that door, despite the same reality of our situation -- which hadn’t changed one bit -- I said the only thing I could, “To be continued.”

Chance
The night had shadows, but so did I.
Outside the compound, the air was a clarity spike to the vein. Every step on the pavement crackled loudly in my ears. I was the only one out there and that was how I liked it.
It seemed like ages ago, walking Connie back to her room, saying goodbye to her and her friend, volunteering to patrol outside. Hayes had only reluctantly agreed after four guys had come up to replace me guarding Connie’s room. He hadn’t liked it at all, either.
But I’d needed a few hours to myself and some fresh air to get my mind off things. One thing, really. What had happened with Connie. What it meant.
Out there, that wasn’t the issue. Out there, all that mattered was that it was secure. That it stayed that way.
That if a Devil King so much as thought about the place, I’d know about it.
At any rate, they wouldn’t be hearing me. I adjusted my steps, so that I couldn’t even make them out.
Moving without sound, breathing without breath. Old cop tricks.
Only there was a sound and it wasn’t mine.
The rip of tire against pavement.
I sprinted that way, getting there just in time to see a battered-looking army green Range Rover pull up to the front door.
“It’s okay.” Harry was already positioned at the door with his brothers, waving me away as the light wind wiggled his hairy brown beard. “It’s just Claude, one of the prospects. Member in training.” He winked.
I strode up in front, blocking the new guy’s entry. Prospect or not, if I was going to let this guy in, I was going to see him for myself.
I eyeballed him and paused. “I don’t like the look of him.”
He was too slick for the Twisted Souls. No facial hair – no hair at all by the looks of him. Colorless eyes and that crocodile smile he gave me.
My fists clenched.
“Lay off, Chancey boy.” Gary was laughing behind me. “You gonna frisk him?”
I whirled. “And what if I do?”
A low whistle, as Abe sauntered up. “Well, lookee here. Who’s getting a bit big for his breeches already. Hayes names him Connie’s personal bodyguard, and all of a sudden he’s in charge.”
For fuck’s sake…
“That’s not what this is about, and you know it,” I growled.
It was already too late, though.
The other Twisted Soul higher-ups, four in all, walked up to form a wall in front of me.
“You heard the man.” Gary wasn’t laughing anymore. “This isn’t your call – move.”
I could’ve fought them. Maybe even could’ve won.
But that wasn’t the point. I’d been outmaneuve
red. This had been over my head the first second I walked up to the door.
“A pleasure,” the prospect simpered as he went by, winking.
I walked away, shaking my head. All of me burned to go to Hayes, get him to deal with this. He had good instincts too – would probably see what I saw.
But then what?
Long-term, I couldn’t just go above the other guys heads every time they made a dumbass decision. Which, by the looks of it, was pretty damn often.
Not if I wanted them to accept me as one of theirs.
Not that I’d decided I even wanted that, yet. But if Connie and I were going to have any sort of chance at a future…
Whoa, there.
I stopped walking. As I’d been trying to walk it off, I’d forgotten the most important thing of all. Keeping Connie and Annie protected.
No way in fuck was I slouching around outside here trying to protect the compound from threats. Not when, as far as my gut was concerned, the biggest threat of all had just walked through the front door.
Back inside, checking on Annie and Connie (and arguing with the door guys who whined about me having given up my post) went fine. They were fast asleep.
The slimeball prospect, Claude, was helping himself to some food, being welcomed with open arms by Hayes. Nothing remarkable.
I decided to keep my mouth shut and stick to the guy like glue.
I did. All night, always staying off to the side, just far enough away that he couldn’t bitch about it outright. All the way until breakfast, when Connie and a bunch of others came out to eat.
She smiled at me. “Hey.”
“Hey. Manage to get some shut-eye?”
She nodded, stretching. “A lot actually. I haven’t slept that good since… I don’t know what happened.”
I smirked, and she pressed her lips together, trying not to smile. We were both thinking the same thing.
“And Annie?” I craned my neck around.
“Val is reading her a morning-time story.” Connie rolled her eyes.
“She gets a bedtime and a morning-time story?”
